The Boniface J. Lin Award for Outstanding Contributions to Diabetes Education in Asia

This award is an AASD award established in 2018 to honor an individual who has greatly contributed to the advancement of diabetes education in Asia. This Award honors Prof. Boniface J. Lin for his pioneering work in diabetes education in Asia.

Criteria for selection

  • Nominees should have exceptional accomplishments in diabetes education.
  •  Nominees may be physicians or medical staff, for whom nominations are encouraged.

Award/honorarium

  • The awardee will be presented a plaque in the award ceremony at the AASD Scientific Meeting.
  •  The awardee will be presented a $2,000 honorarium.

Nomination process

  • The application must be submitted using the AASD Award Application Form.
  • The application must be submitted by members of AASD.
  • A letter of nomination (less than 400 words) signed by a nominator is acceptable.
  • Nominees are requested to submit their CV and activity highlights along with a publication list, if any.
  • The application form and supporting documents should be submitted to AASD office (office@aa-sd.org) by e-mail before deadline.

Selection process

  • The awardee is selected by the AASD Awards Selection Committee. The Executive Board of AASD will give final approval.
